Timelines

We've gotten a lot of questions about timelines. The biggest question mark in the process is how long it takes China to review your Dossier and issue a referral.Here's the general timeline in a nutshell, although it is different in every case.

1-2 Months:
Orientations > paperwork & references > in-home social study > submit Dossier to China

7-10 Months:
China reviews paperwork (very long time) > identifies child for adoption > sends Referral to us (profile, photo, & medical records)

6-8 Weeks:
We review referral with Gladney & pediatrician > accept/reject referral > travel to China

So, assuming the above schedule is *generally* accurate, the process may take at least 14 months.
