I just received the draft of our homestudy!!!!! It should be finalized within the week! We have been recommended without reservations, so that's the last big hurdle cleared. Whew! and WOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOO!

Here's the thing (and any adoptive family will tell you this): You have no idea how much anxiety you carry around until all of a sudden it's gone. Your whole journey hinges on what a complete stranger says about you and your husband, and your ability to parent a child. A STRANGER. So, yeah, I cried like a baby when we got that back yesterday. I am relieved, excited, and even a little bit validated. Bring on my baby!
