Orientations...check!

We completed our orientation this afternoon with Gladney. It went very, very well. I think they were impressed out how prepared we were - from paperwork we had completed to the research we've both done online.

One point they did make is that Chinese adoptions are running slow right now, perhaps slower than we first anticipated. That said, there's really no way to ever know exactly how long the process will be for sure. At the end of the day, all of these things are beyond our control, so we just trust that there is a plan for us & everything will work out exactly as it should.

Next steps: We start forking over some more serious cash and the "Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition" (I-600a) to the US Government.

Two good blogger peeps, I can point you to doing korean adoption:

Susan from In a holding pattern (met her at a bay area "cronefest" so I can vouch for her). She's totally OCD about organization, it's scary. :o) But she's great for information.

And Karen from Naked Ovary.

I know Karen said they're running slow. Which sucks. I hope it picks up soon.
