We got confirmation today that we need to hold off on submitting our I-600A until our homestudy is completed. The bright side of this, though, is that all of our paperwork is virtually guaranteed not to expire during our wait for our referral. The bad news? We already have the cashier's check for the CIS.

The good news is that this delay probably won't delay the overall process. We're just "timing" our US application to match the Chinese process.
